We had a delightful party last night with a total of five kids in the 2 year old set, plus other children of various ages. Watching them all play peacefully together was a joy, as well as the great variety of cheese and food brought over by all. We had birthday brownies and did NOT sing the happy birthday song. It was in fact mine and two other adults' birthday this past week. Nolan partied hard and was mostly happy throughout the evening with a little drama over the quest to share, but ended the night crying out of exhaustion. He cried for about five minutes as the last folks left and then literally fell asleep in my arms. He still looks as sweet as ever when he is sleeping, so that was a nice final birthday present for me.
