Emphatic empathetic Nico

Common phrases heard from her quite loudly are "let's go!" and "come on" and now the lovely and pitiful "Nolan hit me!". If she sees someone get hurt she may tear up and say (or ask), "ok!? Ok?!"

Chair antics

Nolan has a squishy little foam chair that normally resides next to his bookshelf. However, the chair ends up all over the place for stunts. He gladly makes space for his sister and the two of them made it into a rocking chair of sorts, laughing hysterically of course!

Just so you know, I'm a busy person.  This blog would be dead entirely except that I just figured out how to blog from my iPhone which shaves off a considerable amount of time for blogging and allows me to do it anytime anywhere.  This is great since I am rarely on my home computer.  Rarely.  If you actually still visit this blog, the pictures are getting cut off but don't worry.  If you click on them you can then see them in their full glory.  Hopefully someday the iPhone app will fix this error because I sure don't have time to go back and fix the pictures.  I still feel like I owe it to Nico to try and keep up with her rapidly changing babyhood in a blog so we can all remember it later.  Thank you.

Disney: the hotel

We are back and slowly adjusting back to reality. Just the Wilderness Lodge itself was about enough to make our trip satisfying. We got to stay at this Disney resort and ride a boat to the Magic Kingdom the first two days, which just made the trip even more magical. The place had fantastic details in its design, including the beaver holding the handrail in the elevator I had to photograph... We were on the 7th floor which happens to have food in a common area for you practically all day. Yum. Nolan & Nico were super comfortable and settled in well and slept hard. Nico wore my Mickey Mouse shirt on the trip. I can't believe how small the shirt is and how perfect the timing for her to fit it.

Special invitational East Nashville fashion show!

Nolan has a couple of good school friends that are girls. One afternoon they were all playing and John & Nico were along for the play date. The girls decided to have a fashion show & Nico was included. (Nolan politely declined and just observed.). Since then Nico has been trying to get her clothes and diaper off... Coincidence?

Double the "overalls" cuteness

Nolan is wearing some brand new overalls because he was enjoying wearing my old overalls but they were getting too small. My old overalls are now on a super pleased Nico. She'll have to wait a year or two realistically before she can wear them in earnest.

Cousins reunited!

We just arrived in Florida yesterday and surprised their 5 year old cousin Addison! I guess you could say it was a surprise for their 2 year old cousin, too, but the impact isn't quite the same. We are here of course to visit with Nana & Papa but also today we are going to Disney World! It'll be a joy to see their faces!

Overall cute

I was an overalls kind of little girl for quite a spell, so when Nico wears hers with such relish it does make me happy. However, she adds beads. She actually adds beads to everything! She was "loaned" a beaded necklace by one of Nolan's friends and would wear them constantly until the rightful owner claimed them back! Nico was so upset, she would clutch her chest & neck for days saying "beads! No! Mine!" with such sadness. So I got her some beads of her own... AND the little girl gave her some more to keep so Nico will now say her name as she plays with her necklace.
