landmark moment

Nolan has been in a "big boy" bed for three nights now. We knew it was coming and enjoyed that he never thought of jumping out of his crib, until Friday. He jumped out at his nap, and since I wasn't there and John had forgotten to mention the whole affair, I was surprised to see Nolan saying, "I want out!" and then precariously balancing on the top of his crib well on his way to getting out. The next day we turned his crib into a bed and Nolan hasn't napped since. However, he is so tired that I have had no problems getting him to sleep at night in spite of the inviting passage to freedom next to the guardrail.
