I love how Nolan's imagination is firing up and I hardly devote enough time to documenting it...
The other day he took some of his plastic Schleich animal toys for his bath, his giraffe and the meerkat. He washed them as well as himself, and then they were off on an adventure around the bathtub. He told me, "The giraffe is in Nashville" and on the other end of tub, "Meerkat is downtown" and he nodded his head with such certainty and seriousness.
It's been a while since we had a serious snow, we've only had an inch here and there since the beginning of January. There was an especially beautiful snow falling recently and Nolan started talking about the sidewalk being slippery and then went off to play. Later, he looked down at the floor and playfully said, "There's ice, it's slippery." Any tot would remember to watch out for ice after taking a tumble or two on their bottom. Nolan can even distinguish and will call out "black ice" for the invisible kind that makes you think it's just a shallow puddle of water but actually quite treacherous.
