Nolan's skills in drawing have seriously taken off. For the longest time it seemed that all he could do were lines straight up and down. Now he can trace my hand, make loopy loops and recently drew boxes around John's shopping list. He is thrilled when he accidentally draws a letter from the alphabet. Life is just a big game of looking for letters everywhere for him. There is a spot on our wall that looks like an "A" which he repeatedly points out. He actually drew a "C" next to one of my Cs. He takes great care in how he holds his markers, actually positioning it with the other hand so he holds it in a way that would thrill any elementary school teacher. I don't know why he's doing that, since both John and I write underhanded. I am encouraging his artistry however I can and look forward to the walls of my office being covered with his handiwork.
