We are finally home now after three weekends out of town, a marathon of traveling for all of us. Our last trip was a fantastic time with Nana and Papa in Springfield. Actually, when we got to the hotel in San Francisco the week before, Nolan asked if it was Nana and Papa's house since he knew we were going there soon... When we touched down in Milwaukee from our flight, he asked again if we were going there and we told him yes in four more days. He then matter-of-factly held up his hand with two fingers held up and said, "We're going to Nana and Papa's house in four days, not five, FOUR days." I don't know where he got that line from. The holding up fingers cracked me up.

Blueberry pie may be Papa's favorite, but Nolan wouldn't take a bite. He just kept playing and then paid attention once the next dessert was brought out, chocolate chip cookies. Chocolate and frosting top his list of sweets. Tonight we had some more of dada's birthday cupcake and Nolan quite diligently spooned off all the frosting, leaving behind the chocolate cake!

The grandkids are quite sweet on their grandparents, and each other apparently.

Nolan has barely had time to practice on his tricycle with the travels and also his persistent preference of his car, but Addison was quite proficient! The did a great job taking turns on the bike.
