official potty pooper

Nolan makes a quick mess of his diaper. I've been concerned about getting him to poop on the potty because he acts like the urge to poop just hits him out of nowhere and then there it is in a flash in his diaper. He has protested many times to going to the potty, naturally because he has already finished. We have struck upon something that not only enables us to get him on the potty, but makes he wish for the next poop. He gets a new car when he poops on the potty. This is the ultimate in bribery, and evidently very effective. Tonight I caught a hint of upcoming abdominal pressure in Nolan's expression and whisked him to the potty reciting the mission and it's reward. He sat and did the deed, and then said, "I get a new car!" Later, while taking his bath, he said, "I wanna go poop!" Not really, he just wishes. But he will have to wait until tomorrow.

These pictures are from Nolan's first nap on the floor that I'm aware of. He was up in his room happily playing while we rested though. Finally I heard quiet and looked up to find him asleep on the floor, toys nearby. I picked him up and put him in bed, all the while him sleeping. I guess he still needs naps for a while...
