The Bay View neighborhood music in the park started last week, a weekly music series called Chill on the Hill. It was a chilly start, but didn't dissuade many from coming. It's in an awesome outdoor amphitheater in the park walking distance from our home and a must for everyone living here. It's a given that you will see most of your neighbors out and about. Nolan and I caught the show early, right at 6 o'clock when a middle school marching band was playing. Nolan was properly impressed but then still said he wanted to go to the playground for a little bit. We ate our dinner on the hill while waiting for John to bring blankets for the ground and dessert. We did see plenty of neighbors, including his best buddies. One of his friends had a chocolate bar so he and everyone zeroed in on it and patiently waited for their piece of the chocolate bar. It was hilarious to see the kids totally change focus from playing to chocolate.

Nolan is truly a ham for the camera. We went to the playground today since it was surprisingly warm (in the 50s!) and there wasn't a thunderstorm like we had expected. He will now walk a good part of the way, running through the grassy hills chasing the birds and grabbing the dandelions along the way. I don't know why he stopped to get his knees in his jacket, I don't think it was that cool, but when I missed the picture and asked him to do it again he happily obliged and then said he wanted to see it.
