scenes from a snow storm
We got an early Christmas gift, about 12 inches of snow! This was on top of only a few inches, so all the piles and drifts are from one night's worth of snow. It was amazing to watch early this morning as I checked the closings for the city and found out I didn't need to go to work. They called it "thundersnow" because if the intensity and supposedly it was thundering... I think I did see lightening once. I realize that I have not posted any pictures of our multiple snows this year, already above average (again). Last year I started out blogging about each snow, until I realized it snows almost every day and it never melts. This is definitely a beautiful snow though, and even better enjoyed from home!

Wow, that is serious accumulation! I will send a picture of our house that we took the morning after the "first snow"- we were so thrilled to get such a festive shot...it pales in comparison.
That is gorgeous!! You have some jealous southerners here! Caleb is convinced that it will start snowing here on the first day of winter, and we can't convince him otherwise, despite the 65 degree weather.
