two snow

this snow made the news. i heard on NPR this morning about the snow storm that hit the midwest. we got about 4 inches i'm guessing by the pile on my car. we actually went driving in it... my first real snow drive in a while at least. the winds were impressive and it turned to sleet which when we opened our car door the sleet blew in and ping-ponged all over the interior and hit us like mini-BBs. yesterday Nolan was super excited to go outside as the snow was falling. he even stuck his arms out for his coat, a big contrast from his usual fighting it off as we put it on. he even picked up his hat and was ready to go. then he felt the wind and the snow in his face and he wasn't so sure anymore. today he wasn't so willing but i knew he'd enjoy it so i forced the coat and snow boots on. when he's on his back he's helpless like a turtle in this fluffy get-up.





he wasn't sure at first, but he loved walking around in the snow in the end. we slushed through the sidewalks two blocks down even. i got my first taste of shoveling snow. Nolan got adventurous walking up snow banks. he's so light his feet barely make an impression, but the footprints he left are so cute next to ours.
