Addison shared Nolan's new car with him... he's in mid-clap for the music the car plays. the visit was so tight for time, i feel bad i don't have any pictures with the grandparents! maybe Aunt Kara does... it was a very busy couple days and we look forward to a longer visit later. i may have a little more camera shy than usual, too, as i finally got Nolan's life in photo albums. that's right, plural. two albums to be exact... that are huge and full. i'm pretty tired from the ordeal and i don't quite relish the though of more pictures right now.
Nolan was very happy to be home after the whirlwind trip. he's been running around and playing with his new toys. the dumptruck and tool bench are a huge hit. i fear however a new round of teething is about to begin (the molars! ah!) as Nolan's been digging in his ears ferociously. John was running around with him on his shoulders as i was admonishing them not to have a head bump or accident before bed.
we hadn't taken a road trip since Nolan's birthday and i have taken notes in preparation for the next trip. Nolan was most pleased with our music selection at least as he tapped his feet together, kicked, clapped and hummed to the music. he does not like books on tape. on the way back today, we had to get him up earlier than usual so he slept more than half the way home and the rest of the way we played with Christmas loot and ATE. not like i usually give a blow by blow on his dietary consumption, but he ate a whole banana, a thing of yogurt and countless Teddy Puffs. whatever i gave him he ate.
