Nolan has learned how to sit, as in sitting on something made for his size to sit upon. there's a step stool next to the tub and after much practice backing up, checking behind him and with trial and error, he has now nailed the act of sitting down. he can even stand back up. he's been able to stand up from the floor without any support for only a couple weeks now, so this is the next civilized step. however, his rocking chair is slippery so he crawls into it then turns around to sit. he then usually slips off of it, but sometimes he gets in it just right and we've had some nice chats in our respective rocking chairs. of note, i hadn't cleaned the beets off his mouth yet.
