This was one of the most fantastic moments on our trip. Sunshine and warmth, just enough for Nolan to eye the fountain and all the other kids playing in it and decide to jump right on in. He actually bypassed the carousel for the fountain! Initially he just touched with his fingertips the short fountains, but then a little running ensued, then walking through the water and getting completely soaked! He had an accomplice, cute little Elizabeth who is only one week his junior. They would play and slosh and then sit for a moment, then go back into the fountain. Neither had swimsuits of course. Thankfully Nolan's Papa had golf towels to dry the kids off. I got a dry pull up on Nolan and he literally took off running practically to the other side of Coolidge Park! He ran through folks playing frisbee, soccer and football before I could catch him. He wanted me to chase him, giggling the whole way, and he actually needed the run to warm himself up. He was shivering when their fountain frolic was over. All just part of the thrills of being three.
