a quest for a pumpkin

This year we returned to Swan's Pumpkin farm for some Fall fun. When we told Nolan we were going to get a pumpkin, he was actually pretty excited. We had been looking at other people's pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns for a while. We fed goats and llamas and then ran around the maze of pumpkins pre-picked, but found ours way out in the field. We did a standard pumpkin face on our jack-o-lantern later that night. Maybe we'll get more creative next year. Nolan certainly has a better understanding of Halloween this year. As we walk around our neighborhood we'll stop and stare at the homes decked out with ghosts, skeletons and spiders. He's not scared thankfully, but he gets the idea that it's supposed to be spooky. Just yesterday he was running around with his dad with a blanket over him going, "Oooooooo!" like a little ghost.
