the first day was the busiest day before we retreated into the hills at my folks. the boys went to Nashville for a microcar show at the Lane Motor Museum, where we went on our previous trip. Mom and I had a relaxed morning and then ventured down to Chattanooga to eat and shop. the boys then had to boogie on down to Chattanooga for Finley's birthday party and to catch up with friends.
it's becoming a whole other world for Nolan. one with toddler spirit and attitude. i witnessed and tried to stop him from stealing toys, grabbing other toddlers by the back of the shirt, pulling another up by the hair and to top it off a rolling temper tantrum on the floor over a toy stolen from him. all of that it seemed within the space of 10 minutes or less. somehow the rest of the time was uneventful and highly enjoyable.
with Jackson, Nolan's senior by only a month but appears much bigger... for those of you who know i've been worried about Nolan's growth, everything seems to be just fine. he's just short like his mom and dad.
with Elizabeth and her mommy, sporting a Dora the Explorer swim diaper...

Nolan loves digging his hands into sand now. no tools required. here he is with Jackson and Maggie.
we really enjoyed your party Finley!
