we've been vacationing in Tennessee and we couldn't have chosen a better time. it was really cold before we left so we've got a real appreciation for the warm welcome here. it even reached 70. Nolan has been celebrating by being outside all the time. even if it's raining. one store had the doors open because of the nice weather and since Nolan kept trying to run outside, she obliged us by shutting the door so we could finish our shopping in relative peace.
our first stop was the Lane Motor Museum in Nashville. it's a veritable feast of unusual cars. many miniature! there was a huge play area with all sorts of toy cars, i'm sure to help burn off the kids' excitement but in Nolan's case he still wanted to touch every car in the joint.
he got to go home with a car, too. this beetle was actually for grandma since it was her first car. (he got his own large wooden car, his favorite.)
