sun soak

we had a great time in Chattanooga. it was hard to leave again, but we had worn ourselves out and had to retreat to the grandparents' place at Lazy Branch to recuperate. reunited with his Grumpa, Nolan now plays with his new toy car from the Lane Motor Museum.

the weather was spectacular for us newly indoctrinated Wisconsonites. while the snow was melting back home, we got to enjoy Spring like weather in Tennessee. Nolan has a lot of energy, but so much sunshine kicked it up a notch. he was so excited by it all, he repeatedly went to the door asking to go outside, even at night. he decided it was better than eating (much to my chagrin). we walked up and down the new steps up the front of the house, and also the steep sidewalk to our hillside cottage above the garage. he learned that running down hills is fun and FAST. he kept wanting to go to the top to do it again, and again, building up momentum, giggling the whole way down as his little sneakers pounded the way down. we then walked down the gravelly driveway and the dry grassy hill, all with much pleasure.

in a relaxed moment, i pushed Nolan on the porch swing. i love his fuzzy head in the sunshine.
