i thought i would interrupt my chronicling of our Tennessee vacation for today's straw sipping trek around the house. it seems with everything that first Nolan has to chew on it a while (literally) and then he gets it. he's been chewing on straws for almost a year now. for some reason i remember he got his first straw while we were in Asheville, NC for my birthday last February. while on vacation i was amazed to see him actually sipping water from his Grandma's glass from a straw. i had to test it out again today and got him some vanilla soy milk boxes... it was indeed sipable and portable as i had to chase him to make sure he didn't pour it out all over the house. he was pretty focused though.
Nolan's thrilled to see his dogs again, and i think they're happy to see him. although poor patient Riley may have something else to dread now besides ear pulling. Nolan straddled him like a horse today... i took a picture and dismounted him.
