crayon quest

as i have said earlier, i am eager to draw with my son. he always wants to get on my computer, so today i opened the desk drawer to get out the crayons to distract him. who isn't mesmerized by a box of 96 crayons? he actually managed to make marks this time and did so intently with a great variety of colors. he seemed to prefer the browns, greens and orange varieties of crayons.

it may have something to do with motor skills, because just last night he started eating with a fork. we seldom even bother to give him one since he just plays with it usually, but occasionally we decide to see where he stands on the fork question, toy or utensil. the past couple nights he stabbed food and stuffed it in his mouth beautifully, well, sideways a couple times. he used to stab food and then with his other hand take the food off to put it in his mouth.

he takes directions well, too. like brush the dog, although the brush will be backwards mostly. and also, wipe up your pee pee, except he misses the spot he peed upon...
