this morning Nolan got up at 5:30 and was just talking away until it became urgent at 6:30. so he snuggled for a bit with his parents but didn't go back to sleep like usual so i set him loose to play. the nice thing about our bedrooms being connected is i could watch him playing from bed. he eventually came back for a nap by 8 or so. we enjoyed the extra rest, and Nolan enjoyed playing by himself. we got a new mattress but don't have a bed frame to fit it yet (we upgraded to a queen) but i'm in no hurry since while it's on the floor Nolan can climb in and out of bed.
as you can see Nolan got a new goober on his head. he lunged again while only being held in one arm... Daddy's arm to be exact. John felt horrible, but Nolan just cried briefly and then started playing with the draperies.
