like i've said, Nolan LOVES to go up and down steps. no toys necessary. just steps. which is OK until my back really starts to hurt. he's just showing off again how easily he can butt-scoot his way down. today, however, on my watch, he took a somersault from the top of these steps to the bottom. i was at the bottom but couldn't stop the momentum. he was totally unscathed and only freaked out a bit. he has been up and down the steps numerous times today since without trauma or fear thereof.
