dogs!

this is defintely Nolan's first word... he's been saying it a while now but he's getting closer to the mark. it was just "duh" and now it's more dog-like and even like doggie at times. he's never gone "GA GA GA" so i'm not quite sure if i'm imagining the G in doggie. he says dada and daddy at almost appropriate times, but mama is still reserved for when he's upset, tired or wants milk. so until he says mama out of the sheer uncontainable JOYful love he has for me, i'm not sure if he's saying mama meaning me or just code for "i'm pissed off."

Asia and Krys visited all the way from Nashville along with their two dogs Elliott and Zooey. it was Labor Day weekend so a sitter was hard to come by but our dogs enjoyed the playmates immensely. they were quite mopey when they left. Nolan wondered what the fuss was about and crawled through the dogs to the front door. 16 paws and legs and 4 tails are no match for him.
