bountiful basil

our tomatoes are yummy, we're still waiting on the peppers and eggplant, but we've been cooking with basil for a while now and the plants are getting bigger still. maybe we won't need five plants next year. Nolan loves to harvest the fruits of our garden, picking only the red tomatoes. he's pretty good at picking the basil leaves, too, except he drops them. he needs a basket. i love how tenderly he's considering which leaves to pick in the first picture.
