stroller drama

we had a wonderful four days with Grandma here and i could tell that Nolan missed her today. i asked Nolan this morning if he wanted to call his Grandma and he started looking around and then looked wistful. we had a brief chat to check on her flight and he enjoyed telling her about trucks. he even waved "hi" to her on the other end.

here are some photos courtesy of Grandma from our trip to the zoo. for our first trip there, Nolan actually insisted on being in the stroller and also insisted we move quickly as if he couldn't wait to see what was next. this recent trip, once i took him out of the stroller to get a better view, he was walking on his own. he has a strong independence streak coming through, but he still makes sure we're close behind. he has a way of running upstairs quickly and then yelling from the landing midway to make sure we're coming. he'll stay there yelling and laughing until we come. he's been known to do this many times as i get his bath ready...
