finally swinging

we had a wonderful weekend with Nolan's Nana and Papa. since Nolan is such a little parrot right now, he easily picked up on his grandparents names, much to their endearment. he's really into names all of a sudden. just today he kept saying his own name over and over... it helped that his neighbor girlfriend Maritza kept calling him. in the past few days he's calling the dogs by name, too. Riley sounds more like "olly" and Stella's pretty much said well. on the phone with his other grandparents my dad remarked that he could even understand Nolan when he said outside.

we actually had a good meal out to eat at Riviera Maya... Nolan's been more difficult to focus on the meal when we're anywhere but our own table, but it helped that this place has a fish tank you can sit next to. we then went next door for ice cream. he loves to take pieces of the cone and say "dip, dip" as he scoops a little bite. just by saying that myself i can get him to eat a lot interesting sauces and foods... tonight it worked with guacamole and almost on the hummus.

a very helpful thing Papa did was finish the swing set with John. John's been trying to peice it together basically during Nolan's naps, so having someone to help him finally pushed the project to complete! Nolan's already an expert at climbing the ladder to the slide!

we miss Nana and Papa, but we'll see you again in less than 2 weeks!
