we all chowed down our last night in California at the Saturn, kind of a 50s style hamburger & milkshake spot for vegetarians. Nolan likes to put his hand in glasses full of water... i guess he's practicing good hygeine (that is unless he drinks it later). he likes to eat any edge of anything he can get his mouth on. i don't know what this baby instinct is good for... developing a palate for unusual flavors? Drew is 18 now, and served as an excellent role model for Nolan on this leg of the trip. we will encourage Nolan to keep up correspondence.
we all survived the trip and had a great time. take a good look at Nolan's eyes in this shot...
back to the present, Nolan accomplished another outstanding baby feat. he was on the floor hands and knees, pushed himself back into the sitting position! if he remembers how, maybe finally this could be an end to his calling out to be taken off his back (or belly) to be sat up. i'm going to miss that distress call.
