we're busy packing up the house for the first move of the year. and Nolan obviously ready to move but seems to like it better if we hold onto his arms and he "walks." he's not too bad putting one foot in front of the other, even if quite a bit unsteady. whenever we put him on his belly, he rolls over if not instantly, within a few seconds. but, i have managed to put him down on all fours and he'll stay and wobble in that position a bit, plop down on his belly, and then roll over. we'll see when he ever crawls... if he had his druthers, he'd walk first it seems.
he got some wonderful music blocks from our pal Alie, and i wasn't sure if he was old enough for them, but screw that, he loves them! he is super focused on them and may have inherited my "king-kong" face. he also got an Eyore doll. i couldn't walk away from it at the store... all the Winnie the Pooh characters were so dear to me as a child, and we joke in my family about who has each character's traits (i was Tigger... i won't say who Eyore was... but who it is should feel very special to have Nolan pulling on his tail). i need to dig out all the kid's books at my parents for Nolan so we read about Pooh to him and the bewitching qualities of honey.
