so Nolan has slept FIVE nights in a row and he has been relatively easy to lay down in his bed at night. i'm really starting to perk up again after so much continuous sleep. but now i'm realizing that it's our mattress causing me difficulties sleeping... that problem is about to be fixed real soon. usually in the morning now, i either get him up to feed or he's already up and babbling. after breakfast, i lay him next to his dad hoping he'll go back to sleep- which he usually does. although the pictures show that sometimes he's ready to play. the reason he's without pajamas in the one picture is he woke up with poop everywhere. John ought to be proud that this is the first time i've brought up poop in the whole blog i believe... he's constantly kidding me about my habit of talking about poop.
Nolan had his 6 month visit and is 16 pounds 2 ounces (or rather 7.2 kilograms) and 25 3/4 inches. he handles his shots beautifully (after a tiny bit of crying) and was happy the rest of the day. he got a couple doses of Tylenol just in case, and John referred to it as "happy juice" because of how sweet Nolan was being... he even was laughing in his sleep.
a new game he is playing is while he bathes is that he loses his rubber ducky in the infant tub and since he's reclined in it, he uses his feet to bring it back toward him. he then holds it up with all fours... he'll do this over and over. maybe he'll play soccer.
