i guess the serious lack of picture snapping over the past week is a good testimony to how busy we've been. after being so happy about five solid nights of sleep, Nolan has started teething. i feel so badly for him at night when he's crying because he wants to sleep but those teeth... i don't think the extra hair he's growing is painful.
he can stay on his hands and knees for several seconds now. he even tried to leap out with one arm into a crawl but flopped onto his belly. the motivation is clearly there. added to his menu now are apples and bananas... and John's mixed peas and sweet potatoes. he went to a huge art fair this past weekend and talked a ton while being pushed around. he's got the makings of an art critic.
Nolan has started indicating he wants to eat in a new way... he'll grab my hair on each side of my head and pull up and start sucking on whatever comes first... my nose, my lip, my cheek. or if he's not in a position to pull up, he'll suck on my arm. at first i thought he was trying to give me a kiss, because he gives open mouthed kisses, but this had more urgency to it. at this rate i'm going to be covered in hickeys.
