we were invited for a walk by our neighbors with their two year old. we went to the walking bridge in downtown Chattanooga but by the time we got there it had gotten much colder and cloudier. so we zipped Nolan up inside John's coat while he was in the baby carrier. he fell asleep and all you could see were his eyes... he definitely stayed warm! John got a chance to sympathize with women carrying their babies in pregnancy as he tried to sit with the carrier on... but unzipping your coat is a lot easier way to get your baby.
we went to La Altena for dinner with Nolan's adopted aunt & uncle. this is a special place for us & Nolan. this is the restaurant that convinced John that he could enjoy living in Chattanooga and where we went on Nolan's due date to "celebrate" making it that far. of course i didn't go into labor until almost two days later. the employees there know us pretty well and look forward to seeing Nolan. we had a great meal and then all came to our house where somehow Nolan found John's beer bottle... he's started to lunge for things and of course tries to get them in his mouth. we've got to be more careful.

He is getting so big!! I can't wait to see him again! I love the nose sticking out the top of John's jacket. Sharon
