snow day!

we finally got some snow in Chattanoga, about three inches worth. it was beautiful in the morning, very wet heavy snow. they actually closed the office for the morning so i got to enjoy a walk with Nolan and John... this much snow would be laughable in Wisconsin, but hardly anybody even came to the office in the afternoon. it was melting by noon, but it's taken a week for the neighbor's snowman to fall down. Nolan just stared i'm sure because it was so bright and pretty. he stayed pretty warm... although we should have put two layers of socks on his hands.

he seemed to have lost his thumb for a while, but last night he truly rediscovered it and i thought he would go to sleep on his own sucking it. but like usual he put up a fight, he's such a late night party animal. so he got swaddled and danced to sleep again (still with resistance). he's taken to chewing things a lot and i fear he may be teething. he even had some drool yesterday... not the usual milk spit up that sends us chasing after the fermented milk before it totally soaks and stinks up his clothes. so i got out the chew toys to let him sample them all out and pick his favorites.
