There is a fantastic wading pool at the park just a few blocks from our house. Last summer we only went to it once. I swore we were going to go more often this summer. I waited for a day warm enough for swimming, or for a day it wasn't raining, or a day I had time to take Nolan between the hours of 10 and 2. So finally this past Wednesday we were on our way since I usually have those mornings to play with Nolan if it's not spoiled by meetings or other work related duties. The silly wading pool had been drained! Nolan was disappointed and perhaps me even more so. Our neighbor's wading pool came to the rescue and Nolan had a blast splashing and watering the lawn! It's peculiar but the consensus amongst folks here is that summer is over and cool weather will begin any day now. I'm still in that Southern mentality that it will be hot for a while to come!
