weathering the change to Spring

It's finally feeling warm here occasionally, and this weekend was a good demonstration of how variable the temperature can still be. One day we got to ride our bikes to the lake for a picnic, play at the playground and throw rocks in the lake. We were actually over dressed since we thought we would at least need a sweatshirt near the lake. To my surprise, we even should have brought sunscreen. Since our skin hadn't seen such sun in months it would've been a good idea, at least for me. Nolan had a great time riding his car around the neighborhood, something he insisted on doing on any day possible in the winter but now is a little more pleasant for everyone.




And then the next day it was back to cold. Hats and coats weather again. Gloves for me, but after such a cold winter there's no getting mittens on Nolan unless it's close to zero.


Fortunately today it was warm and sunny again and Nolan celebrated with another triumphant ride around the block and amused himself at his dad's work on the motorcycle. We look forward to many more warm days.
