seriously, 70 degrees?

It's been a cold winter, so nothing was more welcome than a chance to visit Nana and Papa in Florida. If it's cold enough that Nolan will actually ask for his mittens and huddles his face in your chest as you run into the house, then it's definitely time to go to Florida.

Our first day in Florida was the coolest with a high only in the low 60s... so we went to do indoor things like play with puppies at the school for guide dogs. This little pup kept wanting to nibble on Nolan and bark at him, but Nolan enjoyed it.

Most of our trip was spent outdoors to soak up as much sunshine as possible. You can tell who the little urban baby is... he was so intrigued by his shadow, it's been a while since he'd seen it. (For any weatherman out there, why is it mostly overcast in the Winter?) He also was in shock over sunshine in his eyes and would repeatedly shriek when it was too bright. He even requested sunglasses when he saw ours.
