today Nana had to go back to Florida, good timing on her part since it's expected to get really cold tonight... as in a negative 30 degree wind chill which i can hear the wind picking up now. but much missed on our part. Nolan enjoyed the extra playmate, source of endless affection, adoration, hugs and kisses. the trip was very eventful with her first night here being Mardis Gras we went to our neighbor's with Nolan's playmate
Ruby for frivolity and king cake. then the next day the blizzard hit but we managed to have fun for the afternoon and dinner with other neighbor's and Nolan's playmate Benjamin. (they braved the continuing onslaught of snow and wind with snow shoes!) then the next day they went out to play in the city and we went out for Indian food for dinner. yesterday they relaxed at home and we then went for our favorite weekend dinner treat at Classic Slice pizza. all in all a wonderful visit even with the snow issues... we can't wait to do it again! come back soon, perhaps under warmer circumstances!

here Nana and grandson are at a booth at one of my favorite restaurants, the Comet Cafe, that i have only gone to once but somehow Nolan keeps getting to go... he loves the pancakes with fruit.

Nolan also got to show Nana the model trains exhibit at the
Domes, the ultimate favorite among kids in town it seems. our neighbor's boy is anxious for the exhibit each year.

Nana had to leave today and we thought we'd have a relaxing morning at home but Nolan seemed bored and discontent with that idea so we ventured out to the toy store. he of course went straight for the cars and didn't show much interest in much else. (except for the bath toy we got him which he LOVED in his bath tonight, thanks Nana and Papa!)
