stealing the show

Nolan had an awesome time during my birthday weekend (and so did i). his TN grandparents flew in one night after he went to bed so the next morning i told him we're going to see his grandma and grumpa. he locked into those words since he hears them every week before we call them. he looked at me real puzzled... and then he saw them! then that morning Collin and Emily flew in, too, so he was thrilled by such a full house.

here's Nolan walking around the stacks at Renaissance Bookstore. darting between the shelves was fun enough for him, but my sunglasses added some extra entertainment. he's actually figured out how to put them on.

we also went record shopping, a favorite activity for everyone and now Nolan, too. the clerk was a bit stunned that a guy can buy records after he gets married AND after he has a kid.

i did open some birthday gifts and Nolan has gotten into the spirit of this now. he was very happy to help open my presents.

you can't tell here now, but Collin who looks like he's cold and covering up with blankets to protect himself from the Wisconsin chill, is actually just playing peek-a-boo with Nolan. he and Emily had a blast playing in snow, even throwing snowballs bare handed...
