driving & sleeping

we've been gone so long... on the road to Springfield, IL to meet Nolan's cousin Addie (just a few weeks older than him), hang out with the Lewis GP's and then on to Milwaukee for my job interview. he's really sleeping at night now, at least 6 hours a night. it's odd that one night at his grandparents he slept 8 hours and then the next in a hotel in Milwaukee he had his worst night of sleep ever... awake mostly from 2 to 4 AM or so... and then i interviewed the next day! Nolan was so tired the next morning he actually fell asleep on his own... without being swaddled, or wih swinging, or sucking on his pacifier.

I started back to work full time today so John begins his time as a stay at home dad. i wish i could be at home, too... it's been nice to at least see Nolan at lunch and eat together. he's 100% breastfed which amazes me when i look at how cute & chunky he is. so much greatness can come from a little milk. he's about to outgrow his first outfit- really he's already outgrown it and i'm not ready to admit it.
