so much has happened and changed since Nolan was first born and we've tried to keep up with it all. so far here's a list:
first cry- definitely when he came out, i may have been delerious on the c-section table, but definitely October 6th at 7:03 PM
first walk in the stroller- harder for me, he slept through it on Oct 11th
first fountain of urine- no damage done but his aim has gotten better since Oct 12th
first bath at home- Oct 13th, verdcit: unpleasant
first time eating out- Pisa Pizza on Oct 14th
finds his thumb- Oct 19th
first ride in a hot air balloon- Oct 21st at a fundraiser for the TN River Gorge Trust. not high really... it was tethered down but dad insisted his boy was going on an adventure
first spit up- Oct 23rd, and he has gotten better at this, too
first trip to the doctor- Oct 26th
first party- Oct 28th, he loved the commotion of all the people talking, it put him to sleep like white noise (see picture)
first bath he likes- Oct 31st, he realizes it's pretty nice
first smile- i'm not sure, but he's really good at it now, if only he do it for the camera!

A big howdy from Nolan's Tennessee grandma, who loves him very much! I can tell that I'll learn a few things from reading this blog. I didn't know that he was becoming an art critic, for example, or that he'd already noticed my painting of fruit. Too cool.
