The sheer amount of pretend play happening nowadays is astounding and amusing for us all. I can't even keep up with some of his stories. Here I'm going to try to note some of them...
- Each time we go to the Maharaja Indian restaurant, Nolan looks at this tall building overshadowing the parking lot and tells us about the orange monster on top of it. Sometimes it has wings.
- There is often spontaneously a marching band going through our house.
- He has a massive Tonka dump truck from a thrift store adventure with his dad that is now a book transporter, taking heavy loads of books to the library. Nolan then usually goes into his scientific explanation as to what happens at libraries.
- Blocks have become building materials for large cities and skyscrapers, places for cars to visit and then knock down of course.
- Any set of blocks can be made into a birthday cake. Given his history of fearing the birthday song, it's amazing that he'll sing it so much now. I've had a birthday a few times already this week. I think this is a lot because so many of his friends have had birthdays recently...
- His bulldozers and excavators are frequently in the business of digging up marshmallows.
