We just got back from a trip to Houston, where Johnson City friends Ben and Sai were married, Indian style! We were visiting them in Albuquerque when I was two months pregnant and they have visited us in Milwaukee. We are so happy for them and had such a great time at their wedding and multiple parties!
It was a long trip and Nolan proved yet again what a fantastic traveler he is (and his mom is not). We had a three and a half hour layover in Dallas/Fort Worth airport and Nolan relished riding around the airport in the blue electric train and was still talking about it today. There was a great play area with Hanna Barbara cartoons playing where Nolan spent much time playing with fellow travelers. He was so tired (and his nap so delayed, too) that he fell asleep in my arms before the plane left the jetway. So much for being old enough to have your own seat!
I've never cried for the entrance of the groom before, but it was so dramatic with the drumming and dancing that I couldn't help it, and I saved some tears for Sai, too.
We met a lot of wonderful friends and family of the wedding party, and Nolan met quite a few toddler girls. He found two sisters in particular at each event and there was discussion of whether we should go ahead and arrange the marriage now or later... and which one? Or both? There were many sweet people, brilliant colors, lots of music and three days of parties. Nolan enjoyed every minute, as did we. Congratulations!
