after an arduous trip from the hills of Wartrace to the plains of Springfield, Illinois, Nolan felt that John needed a physical. John thought he'd take longer with the motorcycle trailer, but with Nolan and the two dogs (what was i thinking) we took longer. we took a break in Nashville after one hour of road trekking to visit with Asia & Krys. then many more afterwards for feeding, peeing, drinking, stretching and snuggling. out of seven hours driving, Nolan only cried and hour and a half (but who's counting) so that's pretty good.
Nolan now can pull up to standing quite well, and has done so repeatedly on a step in his Lewis GPs living room. out of all the toys there, this is the most exciting perhaps.
Nolan got to hang out with his cousin Addison who is 4 week older. they look like they're getting into mischief in every shot. hopefully Nolan has learned some baby skills from his older cousin, such as eating solid food... he still slurps his food down and has a strong gag reflex when it comes to more chunky things. and if you give him pieces of foodstuffs to pick up and ruminate he just wants to examine them them... he won't let you put anything in his mouth without a thourough investigation.
tomorrow we close on our new Milwaukee home...
