Nolan had some visitors from California last week. we had fun reminiscing about when they visited me when i was Nolan's age, and when they visited when their daughter was about Nolan's age and how everything has come full circle. he got some teething toys from them, some fish from the Chattanooga aquarium. he certainly needs more to chew now. you can just barely see his tooth now, but definitely feel how sharp it is. i think he but his own finger once and learned quickly not to do that again... hopefully he'll apply that lesson to us, too.
Nolan loves his piano... and i've loved watching him learn how to play it. he used to indiscriminately grab it, flip it and push it around and occasionally hit the keys. (thank goodness all the notes are harmonious) but now he knows the keys make the music. he's very strong and squirmy and ended up on his back and discovered he can play it with his feet, too! watch out music world!
each day he's better at being on his hands and knees. now he'll push up to that and then wobble back and forth... but still no crawling. he's already doing better than i imagined he would, what with his distaste for being on his belly. and now he appreciates the small joys of sitting in a shopping cart. he babbles and kicks rhythmically and receives lots of attention from other shoppers...
