tooth!

we had a visit from a college friend of mine, Sharon. her blog on her two boys was the inspiration for Nolan's blog. it's nice to enjoy how much downtown Chattanooga has to offer when friends visit. Nolan played well in the arms of an expert mom.

he absolutely loves his bouncey seat... he can really get it swinging back and forth by himself as well. the happy squeals can be deafening. at this time he was just staring at Stella- he doesn't always get such a close look because Stella's wary of grabbing baby hands and usually runs away. then the two of them started staring at Riley (below) as he was chomping down on his bone. Riley is very patient with Nolan and will let him tear out his fur, especially if it means he'll get more attention from us.

so Nolan's not crawling yet but he can do a great downward dog yoga pose... here he is falling down from having his his butt way up in the air... occasionally he'll try to thrust an arm from this position and flop on his belly. but he does have the beginings of a tooth! it's palpable but barely visible... a sense of relief came over me wondering if we'd have more restful nights... we'll see.

we've figured out a new way to get him to nap. our rental has a front porch swing and Nolan just sits quietly and enjoys looking around peacefully, and then passes out. it's making me think about getting an indoor swing.
