on the drive to Nashville for our flight, Nolan exhibited an excellent King-Kong face. he is studying the tag on his Eeyore. and the soundtrack goes "ehhhhhh, ehhhhhr."
here he is studying the airplanes. unfortunately, beyond this point on our trip we were so busy looking at just under 20 homes the next two days that not a single picture was taken (not even of the home we made an offer on). i swear we did go to Milwaukee, his Nana and Papa do have the pictures to prove it. they got to have a long visit with their grandson and learned all his new baby tricks... Sunday was relaxing as we all slept in and went for a walk by Lake Michigan. oh, and Saturday was mine & John's wedding anniversary, which we celebrated by making an offer on a house.
one of the most rewarding things of the trip is how easily Nolan slipped into the usual home routine after three nights of crazy upheaval. he is sleeping through the night again after the teething mayhem... which i later learned got our sweet boy in a habit of crying out for us. it took me forever to realize it with the upheaval of our life with moving, but once it was pointed out to me by his doctor (my teacher) we had to let Nolan cry himself to sleep. thank goodness it really only took one night. now he goes to sleep so easily and with so little fuss i'm constantly amazed.
i taught our boy to splash. he was so focused on the water itself... he'd try to grab it almost with careful intent. i splashed it a bit and then he imitated me with reckless abandon... except for one small thing... the water splashes in his own face so he sqints as he does it and just looks so serious for having so much fun.
