Nolan got his first lip smack on the forehead from his Nana during their visit. i was puzzled at first what the red on skin was thinking of how much more mobile he's trying to be...

he appears very engaged in his plush book, but it crinkles and has stuf to grab inside. talk about bribery to get the kid interested in reading. we'll read just about anything to him, baby books, our books, magazines, medical journals and the other night James and the Giant Peach. i forgot that it started out with a little boy being left with cruel family... maybe it's too mature content for him now (at least for me it is).

such a beautiful family and such handsome men... the whole visit as Papa and John were working hard they would wonder why Nolan wasn't helping... of course he was sleeping, playing, feeding. important baby stuff.

Nolan is desperately thirsty you would think the way he grabs glasses. he seems to know there's something delicious inside. i'll let him try to take a sip and it dribbles on both of us. just the other night, John had Nolan in his lap as i was feeding him cereal and in a split second Nolan had grabbed a glass, knocked it over with the water landing on John... so John had to spend the remainder of Nolan's meal sitting in a puddle of water. i'm holding off on the sippy cup though, i don't want him to grow up too fast.
