it's been a long time since i've had a chance to post a bit on Nolan... he's doing so well. we had a great Christmas at the Johnson GP's. Christmas day is grumpa's birthday so we made him feel very special partying with him. Nolan was incredible cute and playful for our visit. he's really caught on to toys and can be quite focused on them. he can even be tricked out of crying with the jingle of colorful toy. we tried to bring back a lot of family traditions this year... my grandmother Ruth's boiled custard and grandpa Gust's pound cake. maybe by the time Nolan can enjoy them we'll have it perfected. we also had my dad's (grumpa's) first car to ride in, now newly restored and shiny. there are no seatbelts so Nolan will have to wait to enjoy that, too.
Nolan met a lot of my family this holiday. having a baby in the family has gotten everyone in the holiday mood it seems and we look forward to many more as Nolan grows up. as he becomes more interactive it's easier to imagine all the excitement to come.
