Nolan yet again proves that he loves babies. there was so much happening he didn't even mind if i held the babies. anytime Camm was crawling, Nolan had to join in. i fear Camm may have thought that Nolan was poking fun, since it seemed Camm was envious of Nolan's mobility even though he's not much bigger. over the course of the weekend they drummed, took a bath and read books together. Nolan wanted to do whatever Camm was doing.
there were three attempts John made a this group shot, and this one's the best... it's hard to focus on the camera at times like this. Judah, Sharon's youngest, is sleeping on Maggie's shoulder. Nolan was very gentle with Judah, but not so sure about how to play with such a young baby. Judah was sure though, pulling himself into the action to chew on whatever Nolan was playing with.
after two days in Carrboro, we headed off to Asheville for a place we consider very familiar and wanted to enjoy again. Nolan's always a pickier than usual eater on trips, so i was quite surprised that he wanted the potatoes i was serving on chop sticks from the Noodle Shop. this trip was mostly about food, shopping and relaxing, all remarkably easily done with a very busy toddler.
where we stayed really made the trip. the Sweet Biscuit Inn was a kid friendly bed and breakfast with toys, books, a playground and plenty of other kids to play with.
