i was quite tired of picking Nolan up so he could see what we were cooking up in the kitchen so i got out a step ladder for him. magically, he is so much happier and patient while we're getting food ready. really, he just wants to do everything in the kitchen now. i found out this weekend that this goes for breakfast, too. he ate at the counter his cereal and waffle with pats of butter (it's hard for me to get the butter to stay on the waffle as Nolan eats them before they melt). he likes to play with cars up there and even read books.
every day John sprays nasal saline up his nose and Nolan, as of today, has picked up the habit. it's a good way to treat allergies, and although Nolan doesn't have any, he's getting a head start. i looked over and he had the bottle up his nose like this, so seriously. he should've been starving since he slept in past 9, then he played on our bed and helped me wake up an exhausted John. i think he wanted breakfast in bed! i had the hardest time persuading him down to eat. playing under our blankets is Nolan's number one game recently.
