i stuffed cereal in his pockets while we were out and he needed a snack and he finally discovered his pockets and their usefulness. the cereal was still there when i put his sweatshirt on again later and it made for some cute munching.
since it's so nice now for the most part (it was only in the low 50s today...) Nolan wants to be outside constantly. yesterday he decided he wanted to finish his breakfast outside once i finally got up and came down mid meal. so i brought mine and his out and we munched under the beautiful sunshine. he wanted to do it again today but it was a bit cooler and cloudier... so we had breakfast in the sun room and then went for a stroll. he wants his shoes on all the time so he can go outside and sometimes gets ahead of himself... wanting the shoes before the socks or even his pants... he wants to go outside even before bedtime. i know he's a boy who loves his fresh air, as proven by his many adventures in the snow and chilly winter. he still had to be dragged indoors then, but now it's practically impossible. the neighbors have witnessed (and laughed at) me negotiating, then dragging him home fussing many a time now. i'm hoping as he gets used to it being this nice more often he won't be so crazy about the outdoors.
curtains are about the most fun thing for Nolan, behind cars and dogs. he loves to hide behind them, and when things were getting a bit rough between him and his playmate Benjamin they both found mutual fun hiding behind the curtains. Nolan stole any toy that Benjamin even laid eyes on this weekend... thankfully Benjamin is very patient and not hurt by it. finally at the end of night after me sounding like a broken record "no, no, no, you need to share" to the point i got tired of hearing myself... Nolan gleefully gave a toy to his friend and then received much praise and he had a huge smile.
