a trip to Florida

we just got back from a great time in Florida staying with Nolan's Nana and Papa. we all enjoyed the near 80 degree weather and all of the sunshine. Nolan enjoyed much snuggling, the attention of so many doting big people, many walks and experienced many new things. the beach, however, was not a favorite. we did go a day when he was quite tired and he hadn't gotten used to all that bright sunshine yet. he stick close to me and didn't even want to dig his toes into the sand, never mind the fact that he didn't even want to put on those bizarre shoes with holes in them... he hadn't worn sandles ever. we were going to try again, but since Nolan LOVED the pool so much and then the day we were going to go it rained, we will have to save it for another trip. he can try out some Lake Michigan beaches in the mean while. and as for the sandles, they were fine once he had socks on with them. quite a trendy boy.


the other fun part about going to grandparents is a whole new toy cabinet to explore. the cars of course were the big favorite.
